Here I go again

For the nth time, I’m breathing new life into this blog after a long period of neglect. It’s been dormant for nearly a year not because of lack of materials/stories -  come to think of it, I have a lot of materials from my previous trips that I haven’t written yet – but, embarrassingly, because of sheer laziness.

The last (full) trip I had was way back in 2009 and, as the rate things are going right now, I have no big travel plans until, maybe, on my birthday before or around spring, so you could understand how a struggle it was for me to post relevant contents during this blog’s dormant period. Surely, it doesn’t look credible writing about the trips and places without the traveling involved, no?

So, today, I am starting anew. This year 2012 I am making the big E, as in effort, to post at least once a week. I have a major trouble when it comes to focusing and organising but I will draw up a schedule of some sorts and stick to it. I may not be traveling at the moment, but as mentioned above, I have lots of stories from previous trips that are waiting to be told. I don’t have to write about recent trips {and, mind you, I am convinced from other travel bloggers and writers that one doesn’t have to be constantly moving around to be a travel blogger, not that I consider myself as such} and yet there are still variety of things to write about.

So, let’s see … in the coming days I’ll be telling you about my recent and unplanned border run. And the time when my nose bled upon arriving in cold Kathmandu, and the exciting trekking adventure I experienced with a good friend in Kuala Lipis, Malaysia. And how could I forget, the terrifying cyclo ride in the crazy, labyrinth-like streets of downtown Dhaka. Here you will also meet my traveling companion, Miss Igorota. All of these and more stories soon.

Saturday 9: You May Be Right

Billy Joel Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we’ve committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do “random questions,” so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don’t have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today’s meme!

Saturday 9: You May Be Right

1. What is the craziest thing you’ve done in the last Year?
I haven’t done anything major in the past year but several years ago I hid the house keys (I was living at my aunt’s place then) and pretended didn’t know where they were just so I could get even with an older cousin who I was at odds with. They all tried to look for the keys but of course, they couldn’t find the keys that were well-hidden, yes? *evil grin* So this cousin, already late for work, had to climb over a four-feet gate, in full uniform – mini, pencil cut skirt, heeled shoes and make up – and in full view of the neighbours. Yeah, I’m evil like that when provoked!

2. What is something that you’ve lost recently?
A ten dollar bill.

3. Where does your patience suffer the most?
Slow and stupid people.

4. Have you ever re-read a book?
Yes, quite so often.

5. What is a TV show that you absolutely HATE to miss?
I used to follow every episode of Survivors and Amazing Race, but now no more.

6. How old do you wish you were?
Same age as I am now but of lesser pounds I should say.

7. Do you know your neighbours?
No, not really. I know them by their faces but not by their names.

8. Do you believe that opposites attract?
Mathematically, yes … lol.

9. Who was the last person that made you laugh?
My darling husband. I was gushing non-stop about this new blackberry tablet I was looking at online while he was reading his morning paper. He interrupted me by saying – I’m going to get you one, honey, only if you DON’T stop bugging me.  It took me a whole minute to digest what he said. Lol. Yeah, I know, his humour is like that.
